Hello people πŸ˜€

Diwali is a festival full of lights and we want our skin to glow as well. Diwali is a time when we get together with all our friends and relatives and I am sure each one of us want to look our best this festive season.

Here are some tips that if followed regularly as a routine will definitely give you the glow you need this Diwali.

Cleansing, Toning, Exfoliating, Moisturizing

Wash your face 3 times a day with a soap-free cleanser to remove the dirt particles and oilyness from your skin. Follow this by applying a toner and a moisturizer to moisturize your skin. Use a scrub twice a week to exfoliate your skin and scrub off the dry and dead skin cells from your face. Following this process as a routine will not only help you get a glowing skin but will also help you in preventing acne and blemishes.

Hydrating

Drink atleast 2 litres of water a day to remove all the toxins from your body. Apart from removing toxins, drinking sufficient water also helps in giving a bright, wrinkle-free skin and also reduces the dryness of the skin. Hydrating you body from outside is equally important in the form of washing your face. Always wash your face with cold water, as this will close the pores of the skin preventing dirt and foreign particles from entering your skin.

Exercising

Exercising not only gives you a fit body but also gives you glowing skin. Firstly, by exercising you will remove all the toxins from your body in the form of sweat. Secondly, exercising will also help in proper blood circulation of the body which will provide proper flow of oxygen throughout the body ultimately giving you flawless and glowing skin.

Say NO to Fire Crackers

Stay away from fire crackers as they emit smoke which is equally harmful for the skin in the same way as they are harmful for the environment. Crackers contain cordite and magnesium which are released in the form of smoke and these fumes settle in the skin harming the skin in many ways like allergic reaction, irritation as well as burn.

Try Natural Remedies

Chemicals are not always as helpful as natural items. Switch to natural remedies like ayurvedic ways to have a glowing skin. You do not need to search for something hard. You just have to open the drawers of your kitchen and you will find all the things needed to have a perfect ayurvedic face pack for glowing skin. Take 2 tablespoon chickpea flour, 1 tablespoon sandalwood powder, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder and a pinch of camphor. Mix all the above ingredients with either plain water, rose water or milk and make a thick paste. Apply evenly on your face and leave it for 20 minutes. Wash if off with lukewarm water and you are ready to see a ‘glowing you’ in the mirror.

Remove Make-up before Sleeping

Our skin needs to breathe during night when we sleep. But make-up forms a layer on our skin which prevents it from breathing. Keeping make-up overnight clogs the pores of the skin which may lead to blemishes and pimples. It also promotes growth of yeast on the skin. Make-up products also contain harmful chemicals which are hazardous for the skin. So, no matter how tired you are, always remove your make-up before going to bed.

Even if the weather is cold or cloudy, always wear sunscreen before going out in the open.

What we eat, shows on our skin and body. If our digestive system is not clean, it will affect our skin as well. It is essential to take proper vitamins and nutrients through proper diet. Eat fresh fruits, green vegetables and protein-rich food. Have diet rich in vitamin C. Have food that has low fat and low sugar content. Vegetables like broccoli, tomato and beetroot are very useful for the skin. Avoid spice, fatty and sweet food as these can lead to breakouts on your skin, weight gain, dull skin and allergies as well.

Sleepwell

Just as we get tired, our skin also gets tired. Atleast 8 hours of sleep is required to get healthy skin. This will also prevent sags and bags under your eyes.

Live Stress-free
